Maurizio Galimberti (Como, 1956) is an Italian photographer known for his commitment to instant photography. In 1991 he began collaborating with Polaroid Italy and soon became their official testimonial. Influenced by Boccioni and Duchamp, Galimberti reinvented the technique of the “photographic mosaic”, which consists in doing a collage of polaroids each one with a different particular of the same subject. He initially used the technique for portraits, but soon he began using it to portray landscapes, architecture and flowers.
