Attributed to Flavio Poli (Chioggia, Italy 1900 - Venezia, 1984) Poli was an Italian artist, known for his designs in glass. He was appointed artistic director of Barovier, Seguso & Ferro (later Seguso Vetri d’Arte) in 1934, and became popular for his works in submerged glass (made by overlapping different layers of glass, with a variety of consistency and colors). A number of his works are in the Murano Glass Museum, the National Gallery of Victoria, Australia, and MoMA in New York.
